Underground Railroad Poetry Event In-Person
Sandusky Library is partnering with the Ohio Poetry Association and Poets Against Racism & Hate USA to present an Ohio Underground Railroad Whistle-Stop Poetry Tour event! The Ohio Underground Railroad Whistle-Stop Poetry Tour is a project spanning 2024 that will involve poetry presentations at Underground Railroad sites around Ohio. These events will celebrate Ohio’s heritage and role in the Underground Railroad and address human rights and social justice issues that persist today. Join us to learn about our area’s rich Underground Railroad history and to explore that history and current-day challenges through the power of poetry.
