An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe With Joshua Rex In-Person
Edgar Allan Poe, master of the Gothic and the macabre, penned some of the most startling and enduring dark tales in all of fiction. This program features the presentation of two classic Poe pieces “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Raven,” and gives a dramatic reading of The Masque of the Red Death.” In between, Rex discusses Poe’s life in context with the Victorian Era and provides details about his life and writing in order to illuminate the deeper meaning behind each piece.
