SUMMARY:Lunch and Learn: Hollywood Behind Bars: The filming of The Shawshank Redemption at the Ohio State Reformatory

three years of abandonment\, the scouting process that brought filmmakers
to Mansfield\, and how the prison was ultimately saved from the wrecking
ball. Discover the challenges and triumphs of filming in an abandoned
prison\, and learn how The Shawshank Redemption gave the Mansfield
Reformatory Preservation Society the momentum it needed to secure the
site’s future as a museum and tourist attraction.\n\nThis program is also
