History in Letters In-Person
Before the days of email and the convenience of mobile phones, the only reasonable means of long-distance communication were handwritten letters on paper. Today many of these letters survive and help to teach us about life in the past. In this program, we’ll learn about the lives of early Sanduskians (and others) through their letters preserved in the library’s archival collections.
