Fairs & Other Celebrations in Early Sandusky In-Person
Fairs and community celebrations played an important role from the earliest days of the area’s history. Did you know that the Ohio State Fair was once held in Sandusky? Or that the first Erie County fairs were held jointly with Huron County? Learn about these and some of the other many festivals and fairs hosted in the community—from the early county fairs to the “Homecoming” celebration, the Grape Festival and others—and see artifacts and images from these activities.
